Hallo

Schon 3x wurde ich als Administrator "ausgesperrt" weil ich schon eingeloggt sei !

Es gibt aber nur 1 Admin, mich ! Siehe Anhang.

Gibt es einen Weg diese Sperre für Admins aufzuheben, ohne dass man warten muss, bis die Session abgelaufen ist ?

Ich finde die Option eigentlich sehr gut wegen der Performance, aber dass es mich auch als Administrator aussperrt ist nicht so toll. Habe sicherheitshalber ein 2. Admin-Account angelegt.

Es scheint mir die Folge davon zu sein, wenn man den Browser ohne Abmeldung beendet, ist reproduzierbar.

Eine andere Sperre erschien auch 2x: (genauen Wortlaut habe ich nicht mehr) Maximale Anzahl Benutzer erreicht. Obwohl ich definitiv allein eingeloggt war ! Auch hier musste ich warten bis die Zeitspanne für Sessions abgelaufen war. Diese Sperre kann ich aber nicht mehr reproduzieren.

danke für den Hinweis. Das ist wohl genau das was ich brauche. Habe mir jetzt TortoiseSVN heruntergeladen und installiert.

Allerdings klappt der Zugriff auf das SVN nicht. Habe versucht, das PlugIn LiveVoting auszuchecken. Erhalte dann diese Meldung:

Hallo,

Zugriff auf unsere ILIAS-Installation habe ich per WinSCP. Darüber kann ich Ordner/Dateien in der ILIAS-Installation ablegen/ändern.

Ich kann aber - soweit ich weiß - per WinSCP nicht auf das SVN zugreifen. Also suche ich nach einem Weg, Dateien aus dem SVN herunterzuladen und diese anschließend per WinSCP in die ILIAS-Installation zu bringen.

Ich denke, der Tipp von Dietmar geht in diese Richtung. Das werde ich mal ausprobieren.

Als Ergänzung:

Es gibt auch GUIs für Windows, um auf ein SVN Repository zuzugreifen, z.B. TortoiseSVN. Nach dessen Installation kann man ein Repository in ein lokales Verzeichnis ausschecken, was hier beschrieben ist. Von dort kann man es dann z.B. per FTP auf den ILIAS-Server übertragen.

Hallo Herr Herbst,

Plugins kann man (noch) nicht über das Administrationsinterface selbst installieren. Diese müssen immer auf dem Server in das entsprechende Plugin-Verzeichnis gelegt werden. Dazu brauchen Sie Zugriff auf Ihre ILIAS-Installation per Konsole. Im entsprechenden Unterverzeichnis kann man dann auch das Plugin aus dem SVN "auschecken" (also herunterladen). Das Programm dazu heisst ebenfalls SVN (bzw. Subversion) und muss auf dem Server installiert sein (was es aber häufig standardmässig schon ist).

Für die Zukunft kann man sich sicher auch eine Installationsmöglichkeit anbieten, die diesen Weg über die Konsole unnötig macht und eine direkte Installation aus der ILIAS-Administration heraus unterstützt. Das wäre was für das Feature-Wiki ;-)

Hallo,

kann hier jemand mal einem Dummy auf die Sprünge helfen.

Wie lade ich denn ein PlugIn - z. B. LiveVoting - aus dem SVN herunter. Ich kann zwar den Link zum PlugIn anklicken und bin dann auch im SVN (mittels Browser), sehe das PlugIn mit all seinen Unterordnern und Dateien, finde aber keine Möglichkeit, dies komplett herunterzuladen.

Kann mir jemand sagen, wie das einfacher geht und welche Technik (Programm etc.) ich dazu benötige?

Unsere ILIAS-Updates werden für uns immer vom Supporter durchgeführt. Da kenne ich mich nicht mit aus. Würde gern aber mit dem einen oder anderen PlugIn mal experimentieren. Allein, ich weiß nicht, wie ich den Download bewerkstelligen soll.

- delete the current index files

- rebuild the index at the command line

Maybe there have been some more steps but I can't remember. sorry :(
At some point I did a jdk update, but I think this was on another occation.

ILIAS Core: CPU load on database server extremely high at times

Hi folks,

I noticed that sometimes the CPU load of the database server is near to 100% (or 800% as we have eight cores) which is used up almost exclusively by the mysql user. This leads to timeouts and white pages in the ILIAS frontend. The strange thing however is that the webservers (different machines) are more or less idle, user connections to the database are way below threshold, not a massive amount of people are logged in to ILIAS (about 200 active in 10 minutes) and I/O on the database server is low as is the use of RAM. There are no scheduled, CPU eating tasks at that time (like backups).

We have a slow query log for every query taking longer than 10 seconds. It consists almost entirely of queries concerning forums (something to think about, too, imho). But from the log I cannot say what query triggers the extreme CPU load. Are there really any queries this intense?

Did anyone ever notice a similar behaviour on their database server (short technical sheet: MySQL, 32GB RAM, database about 8 GB, of that 2GB MyISAM tables, 6GB InnoDB tables, my.conf recently and reasonably tweaked)? How did you solve it? And do you know a way to make the use of ILIAS forums faster? They're really, really slow...

its solved i just had to make an mail dir in the C:/iliasdata/ilias/mail

the /mail didnt exist. only the mail.txt

now it works

die ClientSideTools benötigen keine Datenbanktabellen, es werden Textdateien für die Einstellungen genutzt.

Das das Speichern nicht funktioniert, liegt vermutlich an fehlenden Rechten auf die Konfigurationsdatei.

Die Dateien:

[ILIASroot]/Customizing/global/plugins/Services/UIComponent/UserInterfaceHook/ClientSideTools/config.conf

und

[ILIASroot]/Customizing/global/plugins/Services/UIComponent/UserInterfaceHook/ClientSideTools/messages.conf

müssen die Rechte bekommen, beschrieben werden zu können. (chmod(755) = Lesen, Ausführen, Schrieben für den Besitzer; Ausführen und Lesen für alle anderen). Der Besitzer muss natürlich entsprechend der Besitzer sein, unter dem die PHP Skripte ausgeführt werden.

Ich werde einen entsprechenden Hinweis in der Dokumentation ergänzen.

Bugreports für Plugins sind ebenfalls erwünscht. Das Bugtrackingstool für ILIAS findet sich hier: Mantis (Account nötig)

Beim Projekt (Drop-down rechts oben in Mantis) wechselt man zu "Plugins" und kann anschliessend bei den Kategorien auch das entsprechende Plugin auswählen.

We are an Australian-based training organisation. We are currently looking at adopting Ilias as our learning management system. We require the assessment results in Ilias to map across to an API that has already been developed in a web-based student management system. The student management system we use is Jobready (http://www.jobready.com.au/). They have successfully created their own API and already fully integrate with Moodle but wondering if anyone out there would be able to use the API that will allow Ilias to talk to Jobready.

Essentially we'd like Jobready’s API to take the student results from Ilias and automatically populate certain fields in the Jobready system. By answering one question correctly in Ilias an element would be updated in Jobready. When all of the Jobready elements are complete for a given subject, the student will be deemed competent (i.e. they will pass the subject).

The student will log directly into Ilias.

If you are able to do this, can you please let me know?

Hallo

Während des Tests blieb ILIAS 4.3.3 im Anonymous-Modus länger Zeit unbenutzt in einem Browserfenster geöffnet.

Als ich weitermachen wollte erschien ein kleines Fenster mit englischem Text , obwohl die Systemsprache deutsch ist.

Nach dem Klick auf click here sieht ILIAS so aus wie im Printscreen dargestellt.

target=self statt target=top (nur eine Vermutung).

Hallo

Nachdem lFMainMenu ja nicht offiziell angeboten wird, also noch entwickelt wird muss man mit Fehlern rechnen.

Als Einsteiger verhält man sich oft anders als die Entwickler sich dies wünschen.

Ist es erwünscht auch solche Fehlermeldungen zu melden ?

Ich habe es unter 4.3.3 installiert und erhalte beim deaktivieren/löschen einzelner Menupunkte regelmässig eine Fehlermeldung. Es muss dann immer das ganze Menu gelöscht werden.

Hallo Community,

ich habe ein Problem bei der Installtion des Plugins ClientSideTools unter Ilias 4.3.2.

Wie in der Anleitung (http://sourceforge.net/projects/iliascst/files/ClientSideTools%20Dokumentation.pdf/download) beschrieben habe ich das Plugin heruntergeladen und auf dem Server entpackt. Nun habe ich mich weiter an Ilias angemeldet und bin in der Administration auf Plugins, Module und Dieste gegangen. Dort habe ich das Plugin Aktualisiert und Aktiviert. Leider steht in der Spalte "Datenbank" dass kein Datenbank-Update-Skript verfügbar sei. Auch wenn ich das Plugin konfigurieren möchte werden meine Einstellungen nicht gespeichert. Ich vermute dass diese beiden punkte zusammenhängen.

Habe ich etwas flasch gemacht/vergessen? Muss ich ein Datenbank-Update-Skript aus einer anderen Quelle beziehen oder gar selbst entwickeln?

Thanks for the fast answer, i tried it on Firefox and Safari. I found the source a little bit later it was because the port for the chat server was blocked, Unfortunettly it didn't occur at the beginning because everything seemed to work just fine.

Ich habe das kleine l fälschlicherweise als i für ilias gelesen.

Ab sofort ist der Unterschied von l zu I (auch ohne Brille ;-)) erkennbar.

Der oben erwähnte Bug gehört in die gleiche Kategorie. In den classes bekomme ich nach dem Download ilL..... für den Betrieb muss es aber ill...... sein.

open the table usr_data look for the root user and set the field auth_mode to "local"

Hi,

I manged to set up the Chatserver on ILIAS 4.2.3. Everything seems to work fine, I'm able to establisch a connection, create a chatroom and write messages. My question is when someone in the chatroom writes a message it dosen't appear directly(like any usual chat) the user has first to RELOAD the page to see the message!!

Is that normal or am i messing something here?

Hi,

I am currently using Ilias 4.3.3.

I was able to configure LDAP authentification. No problem so far.

Everything was working fine until today. I can log with any LDAP account but I can't log with the Root user anymore.

I was using the default password homer. It's a test server so it doesn't matter.

I had check that it was still this password with phpmyadmin in the table usr_data comparing with this website that the hash is correct.

By the way I have already tried changing this password with another hash and it doesn't make any difference.

I had created another user with phpmyadmin and I can't log with this one either.

I have a virtual server running Ilias using the same configuration and I didn't encounter any trouble.

Looks like to me that the authentification is broken for all account except LDAP one who don't really use it anyway.

What are my option?

I am ready to reinstall Ilias completly but I can't find any tutorial explaining how I can completly remove Ilias and reinstall it.

Hi,

I want to turn on https to chat.

I enter the console :

java -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=/var/www/server.p12 -jar Chatserver.jar /var/www/abc/chatroom/client.properties /var/www/abc/chatroom/server.properties

I get an error
