We are going to use BigBlueButton for virtual meetings in our courses. I was very happy to find the plugin by Andres Ederra (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bbb-ilias-plug/).

Unfortunately, the plugin doesn't work proper on our installation (ILIAS 4.2.4).
In the configuration setup, there are fields for a public and a private url and for corresponding ports. But they behave strange: after saving, both urls and both ports have the same data (they have been different before saving).

In courses or other objects, the BigBlueButton object appears in the list 'Add new item'. By clicking it, a fatal error occours:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ilObjBigBlueButtonGUI::deactivateCreationForm() in /var/www/ilias/Customizing/global/plugins/Services/Repository/RepositoryObject/BigBlueButton/classes/class.ilObjBigBlueButtonGUI.php on line 57

Any ideas why this happens?

Is anybody of you running BigBlueButton successfully with ILIAS 4.2.4?

Hi,

it seems that recent version of ILIAS doesn't use deactivateCreationForm anymore

So just comment the offending line and you should be fine

I just tried it and commented line 57 in "class.ilObjBigBlueButtonGUI.php". And I got one step further: I can now create an BBB object. But I'm not able to start it. When I try to start the session, the following error appears at the top of the page:

I assume that this has something to do with our internal settings. Right now BBB is only accesible in the university network. Could that be the reason?

Btw: the errors which kmonov mentiioned still remain, there is still the message "-rep_robj_xbbb_saving_invoked-" after saving.
I tried to delete the files and copied them again. But I guess I have to delete the entries in the database as well?!?

Hi everyone when I install ILIAS (v4.2.5 2012-07-18) on Centos, I haven’t find the followings folders which are in bold  <ILIAS_directory>/Customizing/global/plugins/Services/Repository/RepositoryObject/BigBlueButton

and I try to follow instructions for bbb installation but they doesn’t work can you please assist me in its plugin installation   

Hi all, have you tried the plugin in ILIAS v4.3? We have tested de plugin but have problems with the distribution of text and links. Has anyone else had problems?

Hi all, we had the same problem with plugin version 0.0.2 and ILIAS 4.3.1. So i forked the version from Andres into a new version which works for me in ILIAS 4.3.1. You can download it at https://sourceforge.net/projects/bigbluebuttonil/
