Information about planned and released features

Important Features

The following features are considered as important features for strategic or technical reasons. We should implement them for the next major release and highly appreciate every funding for the development.
Please contact the ILIAS team if you are able to contribute to the funding of one of these features or if you want to put another feature on this list.
Important features for ILIAS that need funding to be implemented are:
  1. Confirmation Screen Guideline
  2. LTI Support, especially for integrating Media Management Systems like Opencast Matterhorn, MediaMosa and others (see comment below)
  3. Migration ILIAS EA Branch
  4. Multilingual content support
  5. Reorganising Administration
  6. Valid (X)HTML

Thank you, Dietmar, for pushing the LTI support. I noticed also that you put it on the Jour Fixe agenda so we can discuss it at January 21. As you might know from the ILIAS conference in Stuttgart, LTI support is a top issue for us.

In my opinion, LTI support (at least LTI consumer) is obligatory for LMS nowadays. Especially for integrating OC-MH which is increasingly be used by universities, this would be very interesting, and if this will receive broad approval, I will try to convince our parent company COGNOS to fund the development of a LTI interface.

I removed "Audio/Video player" (was "Flash Player") and "Course Setting: Learning Progress Determines Passed Status" from the list as they will be implemented for release 4.3.
