The ILIAS Management Console has been developed to support course, group and system administrators of the learning content management system ILIAS in their daily work. Since ILIAS is a web-based application, it has to deal with all the restrictions of this type of application, e.g. time consuming reloads, missing drag and drop features and so on. Therefore, managing a huge installation is a really time consuming task. It is even more time consuming, knowing that administrators usually do the same work in the same manner a lot of times a day or a week.
Typical scenarios:
- define your own set of users (collection from courses, groups, categories, search terms) and give them a new role
- move users from one ILIAS platform/client to another, automatically assigning course or group members ships, roles etc.
- validate your user data by defining custom validation rules
- mass customization of user data
- sending serial mails
