The ILIAS Management Console has been developed to support course, group and system administrators of the learning content management system ILIAS in their daily work. Since ILIAS is a web-based application, it has to deal with all the restrictions of this type of application, e.g. time consuming reloads, missing drag and drop features and so on. Therefore, managing a huge installation is a really time consuming task. It is even more time consuming, knowing that administrators usually do the same work in the same manner a lot of times a day or a week.

Typical scenarios:

1. define your own set of users (collection from courses, groups, categories, search terms) and give them a new role
2. move users from one ILIAS platform/client to another, automatically assigning course or group members ships, roles etc.
3. validate your user data by defining custom validation rules
4. mass customization of user data
5. sending serial mails
