Comments and Explanations

The ILIAS open source team is publishing one major version (3.10, 4.0, 4.1. a.s.o.) every twelve month. A first stable release of a new version shall be available around June / July. This allows to update existing installations early enough before the next upcoming semester / term.

There are always two maintained major versions of ILIAS. The current maintenance period for a major version is about two years, starting at the day of the first stable release of a version. Versions that are no longer maintained are listed at the next page.

[1] Regular maintenance of version 4.1 has ended with 4.1.10.
[2] Regular maintenance of version 4.0 has ended with 4.0.12.
