I just installed Ilias 3.7.2, I logint as root and in the Administration I activated a Public Chat Room, then in the config section I'm not sure how to complete it....and I cant add a Chat container..it doesnt apperar in the list of objects.
Hope you can help me..on how to set up the chat server..because there is nothing on the doc page.

there seems to be a problem with the chat server in ILIAS 3.7. There were lots of other board messages concerning the same problem. As far as I know, the problem isn't yet solved. But I have not tried out the ILIAS 3.7.3 version. Maybe it's fixed there.

again I did not read quite well...
There is a problem with the chat server, but this is during a chat (in fact, the chat is not working).
But there is a documentation how to set up the chat server. For the installation of the chat server itself, you will find the documentation with the chat server in the directory ILIAS_DIRECTORY/chat/chatserver/install.txt

When the chat server is running and you have activated the chat server in the administration, you will see a chat object in the list of available objects in the repository and you can add new chat objects and chat rooms in these objects.

Try the 3.7.3 version which has been published recently. In this release the current chat problems should have been fixed. If your problem still occurs, please post a bug report to our MANTIS bug reporter.
