We have encountered several issues with the SCORM 1.2/2004 interface.

1. cmi.core.entry always returns "ab-initio" whether a student has previously launched a course or not.
2. cmi.core.lesson_status always returns "not attempted" even if the course had been previously started.
3. cmi.core.total_time returns PTH0M0S0 instead of the amount of time from previous launches
4. cmi.core.lesson_location always returns blank
5. cmi.suspend_data always returns blank
5. Upon exiting and viewing the tracking data the status shows complete the first time a course is completed but on a subsequent launch changes to unkown. The time displayed is only from the last session, it appears that the time is not being added. The score always displayes zero.

Based on the above, it appears that the data is not saving properly. We have very similar problems with the HACP connector for AICC courses.

These courses are working properly with commercial LMS applications. That leads us to believe there must be an error within Ilias or our installation. Any help in tracking this down would be very helpful.

One other point of information that may be relevant, when trying to view tracking data in the Administration module it can not find any. However if you go to the Learning Module in the Repository and view the tracking data it is there, though not accurate.

Hi Ron,

there are some known issues with saving tracking data that we are currently trying to investigate and fix. To support this it would be helpful, if you would fill a MANTIS bug report, attach your course and describe what behaviour you expect and do not get in ILIAS.

We have created a course to allow diagnosing of the SCORM problems that we have been encountering. We create a Mantis report and attaced the course so that you can exercise all the SCORM functions to identify what the problem is. Please feel free to contact us for additional information.
