Hello,

where do we find the place to change the prefix in subjects of external mails forwarded by Ilias?

It would be nice to find a changeable variable for every client ID, maybe in the mail settings.

Hi Wolfgang,

I think this is done in the class class.ilMail.php in the classes directory. There is a function called sendMimeMail. The first to lines of code are determining the prefix. It's either [ILIAS 3] or the value of the System variable "inst_name" but I found no way to enter the installation name somewhere... You could do this by hand if you set the keyword "inst_name" to a value you want to have as prefix in the "settings" database table.

Maybe someone of the specialists knows how to set this value using the ILIAS system...
