I have produced a module with Articulate Presenter but when I try to import as a scorm module in ILIAS 3.5.5
I obtain this error:

-Manifestfile ./data/dragos/lm_data/lm_136/imsmanifest.xml not found!-

Can someone help me?

thanks
dragos

Please check if there is manifest.xml in the package. Obvious ILIAS does not find it.

Hi dragos,

have you tried to turn the validation off during the import? If not, this may help.
Cheers,
Helmut

I get the same error with ILIAS 3.6.2 and a SCORM 1.2 produced from WBTExpress.
Code:
-Manifestfile ./data/......./lm_data/lm_365/imsmanifest.xml not found!-

The file does exist in the .zip and I have disabled the check. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
check your naming of the zip file. Delete every space inside the zip file name. This may help.

Cheers

does ilias re-write the imsmanifest file? when I import a course, the imsmanifest file is a different size than the original. This seems to screw up the conformance test suite.

The manifest-file gets converted to UTF 8, if its not already UTF8. Other changes are not done.
ILIAS versions prior to 3.93/3.8.6 had a bug that did convert the manifest-file to UTF8 even if it was already UTF8.

Best,

Hendrik

Hello

I found a funny solution for this problem.

Every time when I upload, Ilias makes a new Folder like lm-192.

So I made the next Folder myself (lm-193) and putted imsmanifest.xml (out of the zip-File) in this Folder. Then I putted the upload button.

On this way, it functioned. Why? I don't know ;-))

Hello all,

I had the same problem and found a solution.

There are different kinds of unzip-tools. The Dos-oriented tools are converting all filenames in the 8.3 convention. So there is no imsmanifest.xml after import but an imsmanif.xml. So the system can't find the Manifest. When you take an win32 unzip tool this problem is fixed.

I hope this solution met your needs

Chris

I am having this exact problem with Ilias 4.0.3, XAMPP 1.73 on Windows XP. I know my SCORM packages are valid.

I've downloaded gnuUnzip and pointed Ilias to use this to unzip files. (refer to: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/unzip.htm)

I'm STILL having this manifest error.

If I do what someone else suggested, and create the next sequential directory, copy my imsmanifest in, then try to upload a package, it works. This is EXTREMELY cumbersome and there has to be a fix to this.

Ideas?
