Hi!
I have some users who want to stay anonymous without hiding their online status. They want other users to see that they are online, but only with their nickname, so that merely insiders/friends know who they are. I've searched for a while now, but found nothing.

Is there a way to reduce the visible information about myself to the online status of my nickname? Even when the public profile is deactivated, the "active users"-frame still displays the full name.

If your user does not activate 'public profile' this is the default behavior of ILIAS.

No it's not!
Well, yes it is, but only in let's say the members list of a course or group.
On the personal desktop, in the active user window I still see the full name! I just tried it again. You cannot klick on that name, and the picture and Skype-contact etc. are all gone, but first and last name are still displayed an visible ot every other user - I logged on with a test-user-account on a different computer.

Is this a feature that is missing in ILIAS at the moment - or did I just mess up a setting without noticing?

Now we've updated to 4.0.3 but the problem still exists. How come???
